  • Vaidya Binoy Chacko is an Ayurveda Practitioner from Kerala, India, with a family background of Ayurvedic Medical system.
  • Binoy Chacko has graduated in physiotherapy from Delhi, India, which is a four years and six months regular course with 6 months compulsory rotatory residential internship.
  • As an added knowledge, he has completed diploma course in acupuncture in 2012, before the system became regulated in Ontario.
  • In addition, he is an acupressure specialist, Kalari Marma Specialist, Pedorthist, Class 3 Laser therapy technician and also having post doctoral degree, Master of Philosophy in Population Studies.
  • The title of the thesis work for MPhil is “Awareness and perception of Sexuality among Physically Challenged Women”, a study in New Delhi. During BPT training, he researched and furnished the topics of “Gait Analysis” and “A comparative study between Sports exercises and therapeutic exercises”.
  • Also an authorized karate instructor & examiner from Alan Thilak Shito-Ryu karate school, India. He has completed a course on International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) and Club foot management (ALTSO).
  • He is Practicing Ayurveda since 1992, following the footsteps of his grandfather who was a “Vaidya”. At that period, Vaidya was the title for those who practiced Ayurveda.
  • The first Ayurvedic Padsala (Ayurvedic Education Institution) was started in 1889 at Thiruvanadapuram, Kerala, by the king, His Highness Sree. Vishakam Thirunal Maharaja.
  • Binoy Chacko is in Canada since September 2010, and established Canada’s first Ayurveda Pain Clinic in Etobicoke under the title of Kerala Ayurveda Inc., next branch in Brampton in 2015. Kerala Ayurveda is successfully managing all kind of pain conditions acute or chronic and also other illness.
  • The Thesis work for MPhil is “Awareness and Perception of sexuality among physically challenged women” (September 2009).This work was accepted by Faculty of Annamalai University, Dept. of Population Studies.
  • This is a pioneer study on “Awareness and Perception of Sexuality among Physically Challenged Women” in India. The study included 150 volunteers attending hospitals for health care need. More intensive research is required in this field to achieve better understanding of problems faced by this population, so that it can be resolved more efficiently.
  • He strongly recommended that Governments should take more initiative in educating and creating awareness among people with disabilities rather than providing monetary benefits and financial aid, since these kinds of support do not reach the needy directly without knowledge on ongoing programs.
  • He possesses MA and MPhil degrees in population studies. The topic covered for MA was – “Population growth, structure and characteristics”, “ Population data sources evaluation, adjustment and graduation”, “ Fertility”, “ Mortality”, “population ecology, urbanization and migration”, “ Research methodology and statistical techniques”, “ Population and socio- economic changes”, “ Population theories”, “ population policy and programs”, and “ Health and nutrition education”.
  • The chellenges for MPhil was (1) RESEARCH METHODOLOGY AND STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES, (2) POPULATION AND DEVELOPMENT PLANNING, (3) REPRODUCTIVE AND CHILD HEALTH CARE.
