Abhyanga(Ayurvedic healing massage)
Ayurvedic medicated oil massage is an ancient Indian therapy for healing and detoxifying Body, Mind and Spirit. This ayurvedic detoxification techniques and stress reduction therapy is performed by herbal medicated oils usually before bath. It incorporates an aromatic and medicated combination of oils prepared with herbs blended to body type. A variety of Ayurvedic techniques is applied to work along the energy channels of the body in a synchronized manner to restore the flow of vital energy (Prana) where it has become blocked. Lymphatic stimulation with ayurvedic herbal oils helps to take out toxic accumulation from the channels in body. Shirodhara
This is a form of ayurveda therapy that involves gently pouring usually medicated liquid, oils over the forehead. It was developed by vaidyas, practitioners of Ayurveda in Kerala, India for use in restorative therapy and can be one of the steps to Panchakarma. The name comes from the Sanskrit words shira ‘head’ and dhara ‘flow’. The liquids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated, but can include oil, milk, buttermilk, coconut water, or even plain water.
Shirodhara has been used to treat a variety of conditions including eye diseases, sinusitis, allergic rhinitis, graying of hair, neurological disorders, memory loss, insomnia, hearing impairment, tinnitus, vertigo and certain types of skin diseases like psoriasis. It is also used non-medicinally at spas for its relaxing properties.
There are specialized forms of shirodhara called thailadhara, ksheeradhara, thakradhara and jaladhara.
Pizhichil
This therapy is a beautiful combination of two classical Ayurvedic treatments, Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation). The whole body is bathed in streams of lukewarm medicated oil with simultaneous soft massage. More than three liters of relaxing, medicated oil is used in this therapy. Pizhichil protects the body from illnesses and builds up immunity for a healthy life. It is very useful for rheumatic diseases, arthritis, paralysis, sexual weakness, neurological disorders, blood pressure, nervous weakness and helps to arrest the aging process. This procedure helps relieving anxiety, combating depression, regulating blood pressure, relieving body pains, treating rheumatic diseases, alleviating arthritic symptoms, overcoming paralysis, curing sexual weakness, reducing neurological disorders, keeping skin young, and preventing aging.
Kizhi
This is a therapy with herbs tied in cloth bags and immersed in heated medicated oils placed on the area to be treated. This is followed by specific massages, done using the fingers, heel of the hand or palm. The pressure application varies according to the nature of ailment, age, body type and the spot. This treatment is for osteoarthritis, arthritis with swelling, spondylosis, sports injuries etc.
Ayurveda Face Treatment

Herbal cream is applied on face and neck through constant massage movements for 30 minutes. Later, gentle herbal steam is given and different herbal face pack dissolved in rose water is gently applied on the area. This treatment is very good for the toning of face muscles, to induce relaxation and helps getting relief from acne problem.

Urovasti
Urovasti is effective in the treatments for asthma, other respiratory problems, heart diseases and muscular and chest pain.
A rectangular reservoir, made of black gram dough, is built up on the heart area. Warm medicated oil or medicated ghee is kept over the chest for 30 minutes to 45 minutes. The oil is recycled periodically to keep it warm. The healing properties of herbal oils are used for this. This treatment enriches the blood and builds and maintains strong muscles and connective tissues at the heart area. It is also a preventive treatment for heart from strokes and other related blocks. It also relieves deep seated anxiety, anger and sadness, beneficial for Cardio Myopathy and relieves for Asthma and Respiratory problems.
Udwartana Ayurveda Therapy for weight management
Udwarthanam is special therapeutic deep tissue massage using herbal powders. Udwarthanam means to elevate or to promote. This massage involves upward stroking, where the powder is rubbed forcibly on the body. Classical treatises on Ayurveda explain this procedure as a daily routine.
The whole body is gently massaged with medicated powders prepared with various herbs. This helps to reduce fat patches from the body known as cellulites, toning of the muscles, improves blood circulation and eases joint pains. Regular Udvartanam is good for not only cellulites but it helps to lose weight by increasing the basal metabolic rate.
The massage is done with warm herbal powder in the opposite direction to hair follicles by two therapists. The procedure is performed in seven postures. After completion the person is advised to take rest for 30 minutes, followed by a shower with warm water.
The benefits of Udwarthana Pacifies the aggravated Kapha dosha. It reduces the excess fat accumulated in the subcutaneous tissues, softens and exfoliates dead skin cells, thereby giving a lustrous glow to skin, detoxification, purification, toning the skin, eliminates bad body odor, improves mobility of joints.

Nasya
The administration of drugs through the nose, is called Nasya. Nasya is particularly useful in the treatment of diseases occurring in the organs situated above the clavicle. It will promote the functions of the sensory and motor organs above the clavicle. It specifically provides strength to the head, nose and neck. Indirectly it works on the whole body by improving the functioning of the endocrine glands. It will prevent premature wrinkling, graying and falling of the hair. This is useful for stiffness in the head, neck, teeth and jaw, hemicranias, Pain in the shoulders, Chronic coryza (sinusitis), Diseases of mouth, nose, ear, eye and head, facial paralysis, hoarseness of voice and tooth ache and other tooth disorders.
Netra Tarpana: Ayurvedic Eyes Rejuvenation
Netra Tarpana aims to provide optimum rejuvenation to eyes. Dough of Urad (black gram) is put around the eyes in such a way that a dam like appearance is seen. Then herbal medicated ghee (clarified butter oil) is pour in this groove to lubricate eye and surrounding areas which will be kept warm for about 30 minutes. It provides improved vision with beautiful eyes and strengthening of eye tissues. This procedure also treats burning in the eyes, dryness in the eyes, vata diseases in the eyes, curved eyes, conjunctivitis, pain in the eyes, watering eyes and night blindness, squinting and myopia. It also helps in under eye circles if done regularly for few days.
Vashpaswedanam: (Ayurvedic Medicated SteamBath)
Vashpaswedaman is herbal steam bath which is an amazingly refreshing experience – the herbal mix stimulates and invigorates. The herbal steam bath is an age-old tradition, which, like massage, has been passed down through generations of skilled. This is a unique treatment and under this treatment leaves of medicinal plants are boiled and resulting steam is passed to the whole body. This is also indicated as purvakarma for Panchakarma procedures. The treatment helps to eliminate impurities from the body, reducing fat and helping recovery from skin diseases.
